<div>As many of you know, our journey as a family has been defined by resilience and a deep love for our daughters. A few years ago, our lives changed when our daughter Emma, at just two years old, was diagnosed with <strong>NEDJED (Neurodevelopmental, Jaw, Eye, and Digital Syndrome)</strong>. At the time, she was the <strong>only known case in Mexico and the only active case in the United States.</strong>

<div>This diagnosis was the primary reason we decided to emigrate. We needed to ensure Emma’s life wasn’t in danger and to find the specialized care she deserved. 
</div>
<div>After years of therapies, consultations with specialists, and the invaluable support of<strong> Dr. Roberto Canessa</strong>, we finally received the greatest gift: <strong>the confirmation that Emma’s life is not at risk.</strong>

<div>With this diagnosis, we were also told that Emma would most likely never be able to walk, eat on her own, or speak. <strong>Today, thanks to her daily effort, therapies, and her incredible strength, she has surpassed those early expectations</strong>. She not only walks, but runs and loves to swim. She eats independently and very well, and she does speak, she even argues like any strong little girl full of personality.

<div>Throughout this time, my husband has worked tirelessly, and I have dedicated myself to training in speech therapy, neurodivergent nutrition, and ABA therapy to provide our daughters with the best support at home.
</div>
<div>Today, we are at a turning point. <strong>We are in the final stage of our immigration process</strong> to obtain our permanent residency and eventually, our citizenship. This is the last hurdle to <strong>ensure our family's stability and Emma’s continued access to her medical team.</strong>
</div>
<div>We are facing a final legal and processing fee of <strong>$15,000. </strong>While we continue to work hard to cover our expenses, we are reaching out to our community for a helping hand. We don’t expect to raise the full amount through donations, but <strong>we truly believe that every cent counts.</strong>

<div>Como muchos de ustedes saben, nuestro camino como familia ha estado marcado por la resiliencia y el amor profundo por nuestras hijas. Hace unos años, nuestras vidas cambiaron cuando nuestra hija Emma, a los dos años de edad, fue diagnosticada con el síndrome <strong>NEDJED.</strong> En ese momento, era <strong>el único caso conocido en México y el único activo en los Estados Unidos.</strong>

<div>Este diagnóstico fue la razón principal por la que decidimos emigrar. Necesitábamos confirmar que la vida de Emma no corría peligro y encontrar la atención especializada que merecía. Tras años de terapias, especialistas y el apoyo invaluable del <strong>Dr. Roberto Canessa,</strong> finalmente recibimos el mejor regalo: <strong>la confirmación de que la vida de Emma no está en riesgo.</strong>

<div>Con este diagnóstico, también nos dijeron que probablemente Emma nunca podría caminar, comer por sí sola ni hablar. Hoy, gracias a su esfuerzo diario, sus terapias y su increíble fortaleza, ha superado esas expectativas. No solo camina, sino que corre y ama nadar. Come por sí sola y muy bien, y sí habla, incluso discute como cualquier niña fuerte y llena de personalidad.

<div>Durante este tiempo, mi esposo ha trabajado arduamente y yo me he capacitado en terapia de lenguaje, nutrición para niños neurodivergentes y terapia ABA para darles a nuestras hijas el mejor apoyo en casa.
</div>
<div>Hoy estamos en un punto decisivo. Nos encontramos en la etapa final de nuestro proceso migratorio para obtener la residencia permanente y, próximamente, la ciudadanía. <strong>Este es el último paso para asegurar la estabilidad de nuestra familia y que Emma siga contando con su equipo médico.</strong>
</div>
<div>Estamos enfrentando un pago final de abogados y trámites de <strong>$15,000 dólares.</strong> Aunque seguimos trabajando duro para cubrir nuestros gastos, hoy acudimos a nuestra comunidad para pedir una mano amiga. No esperamos recaudar el total del pago solo mediante donaciones, pero <strong>creemos firmemente que cada centavo cuenta.</strong>
