We are the Newton Marching Eagles Band Boosters; the parent support group for the award-winning competitive marching band from Newton Community High School, part of the Jasper County Unit 1 School District.

The Newton Marching Eagles membership ranges from 80-150 (pre-Covid) students depending on class sizes. As we strive to rebuild to our pre-Covid numbers while simultaneously advancing our program to be as competitive as possible, there are enormous financial needs that arise. Over half of our students use band-owned instruments, many of which are over 30 years old.

With rising costs for basic supplies and instruments plus the costs associated with putting on a competitive show, we are asking for financial assistance to advance our program even further. We are looking to purchase 8 new convertible baritones to replace the existing 30-plus-year-old baritones. These will be utilized for the whole year. Each baritone costs $2300. We have currently purchased 4. but need 12 total for our students.
