Youth Aid Initiative is working to make basic essentials more accessible to people in our community! Currently, we are working on a project called "Community Essentials Stations", which is a free accessible station where anyone can take what they need, no questions asked.
We are starting with hygiene and personal-care products, but as this project grows, we hope to add other useful items based on what our community needs.
We believe that needing help shouldn't mean having to give up your dignity or pride. There are people who may need basic essentials but don't feel comfortable asking for help, don't know where to find it, or simply don't want to identify themselves as someone in need. Rather than expecting people to seek us out, we want to bring these resources into the communities where people are already living, working, shopping, and taking care of everyday needs.
Our stations will be placed in accessible areas where people who may be experiencing financial hardship or housing insecurity are already present.
Donations through this fundraiser will help us purchase and restock supplies for the stations and support the growth of this project.
We’re starting with our first station and hope to grow from there. Whether you donate, share, or spread the word, your support means something to us.
Thank you for supporting YAI and let's uplift our community together! ❤️
