Help Us Pay for Caregivers for Mark Makau

Hi everyone, I am starting a fundraiser to help us pay for caregivers for Mark Makau, my husband. I am a full-time teacher and Mark needs a caregiver for 6 hours every day while I am working. It costs about $165 per day. If we count at the end of the month, it will cost $3300. If you are unable to donate money but you can come and take care of him for a day or several days that would help us also.

For the friends that are not aware of the situation Mark is in currently, he is now in home hospice. He cannot move half of his body, he has difficulty expressing himself. He needs someone to feed him and give him water as well as turn him regularly on the bed. He is terminally ill and we need all the help that we can get.

Thank you to everyone who has donated. I wanted to let you know that I have found a personal care home for Mark. He has someone who takes care of him 24/7 but of course, it costs more than what I had foreseen as costs of caregiving at home. This costs 6500 a month. But I think it is well worth it. Again, thank you for all the support you have given us. We appreciate it.
