My Story
As a single working mom, I know how difficult it is to prioritize self-care and that is why I started One Hot Mama Salon & Spa.
One Hot Mama offers childminding to our clients so they can relax and rejuvenate without the added stress of childcare. Their children can play and have fun in our Kids' Club, supervised by our First Aid & CPR certified staff, while our clients receive some much-deserved pampering!
We're looking to raise funds to renovate one of our existing rooms in order to accommodate more services, including lash extensions, makeup application, and spray tanning. The funds will be used for the renovation and to purchase equipment and supplies. By freeing up these funds from my budget, I'll be able to allocate my own capital to advertise and promote the shop more.
Most of our clients are busy moms and dads, single parents, parents whose spouse work out of town, military families, parents without their traditional family support or whose family lives out-of-town. Our kid-friendly environment is a one-stop-shop for the entire family. However, we also cater to anyone with skin and hair, with or without kids!
Services currently offered include: haircuts for the entire family, colours, extensions, blowouts, styles & updos, manicures, pedicures, relaxation massages, facials, waxing, and more.
We also offer workshops and classes, including hair how-to classes to teach parents to do their daughters' hair, pelvic health workshops, makeup application tutorials, and self-empowerment workshops.
Being the sole source of income for my family and running a business can be challenging, and making my business a success is vital to supporting myself and my children. With your support, I'll not only be able to reach more parents who could benefit from our services, but I'll also be able to continue doing what I love. My gratitude is beyond expression. One Hot Mama Salon & Spa has been a goal of mine for over 6 years now and to see it actually come to fruition, then begin to generate clients and gain a reputation for great service has been a dream come true! I'm grateful to everyone who has made it happen, and for your generosity to help me do what I love doing and help women rediscover their inner Hot Mamas.
