We are raising funds to restore and revitalize the mural outside Roskruge Bilingual Middle School. This mural intersects two historic institutions that we hold close to our hearts and is a gateway to our beloved 4th Avenue. Mainly, we are excited to organize a community project for Roskruge’s students and help them emerge from this pandemic using Art.
Your donations will influence our ability to purchase supplies and materials; they will also enhance our ability to compensate our three lead public artists for their time and expertise. In addition, they are coordinating several paint-by-number events for the students (and community volunteers) to participate in. We’re planning events for April/May and collecting donations throughout February and March.
We surveyed the community to gain feedback on this project, and we learned that Tucsonans have a deep connection to this school and its mural. We see this platform as a conduit for contributing directly towards creating a public work of art that will live on for generations.
Thank you so much for taking the time to consider donating and supporting our project. Every bit helps and will yield a mural that these students can reflect on and feel proud of. We will recognize donations of $1,000 (or more) as sponsorships stenciled on a corner of the wall!
Yours in community,
Alley Cat Murals
