Help us move JFK’s Twine Ball!

Donation protected
As many of you know, James Frank Kotera (JFK), the twine man, passed away on January 14th.
JFK was famous for his over 24000 pound ball of twine, which is located at his house, in the Town of Highland. He spent many, many hours over the last forty years, “having a ball” building that ball of twine into what it is today, and it was featured on many news programs, and in different magazines.
We approached Jim’s family about possibly moving the ball of twine to the Highland Town Hall, so people could continue to enjoy it for years to come, and they graciously agreed to let us move it.
I have already talked to a few people about moving it, and the plan is to have a slab poured at the town hall property, and then have the ball moved over, and then either have the existing gazebo moved, or a new one built over it, to insure it is protected from the elements. Any and all money raised will go towards this project.
My hopes are to have it moved by early summer and then have a picnic for everyone to come and see JFK’s ball of twine in its new home.
