I had to make a change to this since learning that teachers are paid at the end of September to the end of August.
After just over 11.5 years working as a G.E.D. teacher, I, and the other staff, was laid off due to organizational restructuring. I was supposed to receive unemployment for 26 weeks, but it stopped at 23, the middle of July. Now my wife, Diana, and I are in a temporary, but unfortunate, financial predicament. I am a diabetic who has cirrhosis and some other ailments, and Diana has a heart issue that requires medication to keep everything in check. We have no funds left to pay for the bills, prescriptions, or other necessities to survive until I, Ron, receive my first paycheck.
The good news is I received a call this morning offering me a teaching position that I readily accepted, but we will not have any money coming in until the first payday, which will be at the end of August (change that to September). We have bills to pay and some creditors who will not wait; therefore, we are asking for help.
