"Childhood" takes us deep into the psyche of a young black man who has had to overcome trials and tribulations that are immeasurable for so many navigating childhood, adolescence, the wrath of incarceration and foster care, the impact of family, friends, and life altogether.
WHY A MUSIC VIDEO FOR THIS SONG IS SO IMPORTANT
"Childhood" serves as a poignant and inspiring community piece and a high-quality video will help to keep conversations about mental health and marginalized communities front and center while giving Nate (and supporters who identify with him) not only a meaningful piece of art but also a beacon of hope that they can run with. We believe this video has the potential to move minds and change lives all over the country.
The song bucks the trend of talented rappers making the expected hit rap anthem or banger. Rarely in rap does an artist get this vulnerable in a song. Tupac and J Cole speak to some of the most relateable truths in music, and Nate has taken a turn with this song that will leave you in awe. 1. Pre-Production operations (assembling/hiring a small, smart and efficient crew-producer/director/cinematographer; casting/hiring actors, scouting locations, securing sets, contingencies)
2. A Principal Production Team (feeding the talent and crew, possible transportation)
3. Post Production operations (editing, sound mixing, marketing)
