Help Us Launch Our Community Newspaper

Hi Guys,

This is Marielys Camacho-Reyes. One of my biggest dreams has always been to publish my own community newspaper. After years of writing for other publications, the day has come for me to use my experience and my passion for writing to create a community newspaper for Haines City, FL called The Northeast Polk Gazette  in which I would highlight community events, interview community leaders, share personal essays of people from our community and much more. My goal with this newspaper is to be able to hire veterans, like me, who also have a passion for writing.

But, as a new publication, we have the immense challenges that come with having to create a product from scratch and, with that, comes the financial challenges.

With your contributions, we will be able to fund operations for the first couple of months to:

* Cover the costs of creating the newspaper 
* Cover the salary of the writers and staff members that we need in order to create the content  
* Cover the cost of printing
* Cover the cost of distribution

That being said, I would really like to ask for your cooperation and donations so that I can make this dream come true, not only for me but also for those who believe in my work and in my dedication to bring awareness to the different topics of human interest. 

My commitment to my community with this newspaper is to bring awareness to those topics that usually don't make it into the "big names" newspapers, but that so many people would beneficiate from them like mental health, military/veterans needs, etc.
