Who We Are:

We are an official not-for-profit organization (CRN [BN]): 714263548) based in Toronto, Canada.

In Pythagorean numerology, the number 8 represents victory, prosperity and overcoming. The slang word flicks (FLiX with lower-case i) is often used to describe motion pictures. Since 2017, 8FLiX has strived to provide an accurate database of downloadable screenplays and teleplays written by professional and established screenwriters to educate and inform future screenwriters.

Our service is available to readers, writers, and dreamers of all ages, regardless of one's abilities, geographical location, and/or socioeconomic status. College and/or University students studying any aspect of film and television production frequently call upon 8FLiX for help in their screenwriting research. Likewise, for those who wish to pursue a career in the industry but haven't the means to attend higher-education studies, the 8FLiX Institute Screenplay Database is open to everyone.

We promise to always provide this service free of charge. Forever. We can only make that happen your your donation. Donations pay for the upkeep of the database and website, subscription costs to other industry-related databases, the purchase of screenplays from studio auctions and screenwriters selling their works. This 2023-2024 fundraising campaign will help us create and maintain a "discord server" for like-minded writers and students to have complete access to our 10,000-scripts database 24/7/365.
