Help Us Keep Cyn’s Play Place & Cyn’s Academy Open for Our Community
Cyn’s Play Place and Cyn’s Academy were built for one purpose —
to give families an affordable, safe, high-quality place for their children to learn, grow, and belong.
We serve:
• Single parents
• Low-income families
• Families transitioning through hardship
• Children who need smaller class sizes
• Children who need structure, consistency, and stability
• Parents who cannot afford the rising tuition of traditional centers and private schools
For years, we’ve carried this mission without raising tuition to market rates — not because we couldn’t, but because we refused to push out the families who depend on us the most.
Why We Cannot “Just Raise Tuition”
Parents have said it, critics have said it, and even supporters have wondered:
“Why not just charge more?”
Here is the reality:
• Many of our families would lose childcare or schooling immediately if we raised rates.
• We intentionally keep small class sizes to protect quality and safety, not for profit.
• We serve families who other schools would turn away due to cost or needs.
• Our tuition model is designed to keep children in school, not keep parents in debt.
• Expanding enrollment requires licensed space, staffing, and compliance, which requires capital — capital we don’t currently have.
We operate differently because our mission is different.
We aren’t a corporate chain.
We are a community school, and the community is asking us to stay.
Why We’re Asking for Help
The last few months brought unexpected financial challenges that small schools often face:
cash-flow shortages, rapid enrollment shifts, delayed funding, and unavoidable operational costs.
We have reached a point where outside support is the only way to stay open while we restructure for the long term.
What Your Support Will Do
Your donation will help us:
• Maintain our current locations
• Stabilize operating costs
• Support teachers
• Protect the children’s continuity of care
• Continue enrolling families who rely on us
• Transition toward opening Cyn’s Academy (K–5) physically, our long-term sustainable model
Why This Matters
If Cyn’s Play Place closes, dozens of families lose:
• Safe childcare
• Daily stability
• A trusted school community
• A place their children feel loved, seen, and supported
These families don’t have easy alternatives — and that is exactly why we exist.
How You Can Help
Any amount — small or large — moves us closer to stability and gives these families what they deserve:
a chance to keep their children in a loving, safe, reliable school.
If we’ve ever made an impact in your life or the life of a child you know:
this is the moment we need you.
Thank you for helping us continue a mission built from love, dedication, and community.
