Help us house our feral cats

We are fundraising to buy the feral colony of cats living in our garden a proper weather-proof home before Autumn comes. Our hope is to purchase some insulated cat shelters that will house at least eight cats, as well as some heat pads for when it really gets cold. At the moment the colony sleep on our garden bench. This is covered only with a ground sheet and some beds, which has been fine all summer but will not provide adequate shelter come winter. We have been saving up for the shelters but winter is creeping up and we would hate for them to still not have anywhere before it gets cold and wet. So any contributions we receive will be really helpful.  If we raise anything more than we need to house our colony we will purchase some food and then donate anything else to Celia Hammond Animal Trust. More about the colony: When my partner and I first moved into our new home in December, we didn't realise it came with a colony of feral cats! Luckily, we are cat lovers (unlike many people in the area) and ever since have been feeding and looking after the colony - assisted by the wonderful Celia Hammond Animal Trust, who have neutered and chipped all the cats and provide them with vet care when needed. We look after eight regular cats: Bruiser, Callie, Finn, Nelson, Priti, Freida, Turbot and Herbert. Bruiser is roughly five years old and Herbert is about three. Everybody else is barely a year old. There are also five tom cats who occasionally come for food who we are trying to build a relationship with so that they can also be trapped, neutered and given vet care.  On top of the colony we also foster kittens for Celia Hammond Animal Trust (at the moment this includes four kittens and their mum and two orphan kittens) - so as you can see we are brimming with cats needing love and care!   Follow our adventures on Instagram: Cats of Ham
