Today, we had to say goodbye to our sweet Rosie after 14 beautiful years together. Rosie wasn’t just a cat, she was my first pet, my best friend, and a constant source of comfort through some of the hardest moments of my life. She was family. 
 
 
 Rosie had the sweetest little routines that made our house feel like home. Every morning, she made sure we knew it was breakfast time and never let us sleep in if she thought we were late. She loved licking the leftover milk from our cereal bowls, basking in the warm sunshine, rolling around on the floor, and sitting by the window watching the birds for hours. She adored having her face petted and being held close. When Rosie wanted love, nothing could stop her; she would happily crawl right over your face just to snuggle up as close as she possibly could. She loved to play with and pounce on Penny, our dachshund, and one of her favorite places in the whole world was curled up on Lynzi’s hip, completely content just being near the people she loved. 
 
 
 This past week, Rosie’s health declined quickly. We tried everything we could to keep her comfortable—medication, making the house easier for her to get around, and giving her all the love we could. But it became clear that she was hurting, and the kindest gift we could give her was a peaceful goodbye. Our hearts are shattered. Along with losing Rosie, we’ve been faced with unexpected veterinary and aftercare expenses. As a full-time college student, this is a financial burden I wasn’t prepared for, and asking for help is incredibly difficult. Any donation, no matter the amount, will go toward emergency veterinary care, Rosie’s euthanasia, cremation, and memorial expenses.

She gave us fourteen years of unconditional love, endless purrs, and so many memories that we’ll carry with us forever.
