Help Us Honor Ramona Kirkland's Legacy
Donation protected
My name is Jamie and I made this for the funeral of (Ramona Kirkland) or also known as “Monie”, my grandma! About two weeks ago, she was rushed to the emergency room with possible internal bleeding! Due to her being 85, the doctors were doubtful she could survive the procedures needed as she’s been through so much, including 2x breast cancer! We also had the issue of her heart not pumping blood well anymore, even with the pacemaker she had put in 10 years ago. The doctors said hospice was probably the best course of action. While thinking about our options, her kidneys and liver were starting to fail! It was with a heavy heart that we had to start hospice care! She was admitted to Cherry Meadows in Appleton, WI, on January 14th, 2025. On January 19th, 2025, nurses from the hospice facility called our family to let us know she wasn’t going to make it much longer. At 12:45 pm on January 20th, my grandma “Monie” passed away at the age of 85.
Due to unforeseen financial circumstances and my grandma not having life insurance or a will, I’m unable to pay 100% of the funeral myself!
My grandma was a wonderful woman who gave all her love and time helping others!! She held a daycare at her house that she called “Monie’s Zoo” for 30+ years! She made it her mission to love every kid as her own! She’s probably watched and loved over 200+ kids!
Many times, she would put her own hardship, her own pain aside for our family and complete strangers! She could make you laugh when you were most upset, and she could make you feel like she was your grandma with how caring she was! This woman was loved by so many and will be missed by so many!
We’re asking for any help possible! Every donation helps us be able to give her the send-off she so rightly deserves! Julie (her daughter) and our entire family thank you all so very much!
