On January 28th, we received a devastating call from the hospital that our mom was in the ER, in critical condition, on a ventilator. After running many test, they determined that she suffered from a severe ABI aka Anoxic Brain Injury. We have gone through all of the necessary testing to further find out that if we were to keep her here on Earth with us, as we so badly want to, her condition will not improve, essentially having no quality of life. My mom was an organ donor. After we complete the process with Lifeshare, we will then have to proceed with funeral arrangements. Unfortunately, our mom did not have life insurance. Funeral costs is around $6000-$8000. We found an affordable funeral home that’s closer to our budget for her. Anything will help us at this point. If you feel inclined, $1, $2, $3, etc anything, every little bit will help us during this tragic time.
