I am raising funds on behalf of my beloved father, Nashir Ahmed, a 65-year-old man whose life was tragically taken from us in March. He was brutally murdered in an assault at a bus stop, passing away in the hospital five days later. This senseless act of violence has left our family shattered and in desperate need of support. The funeral service and headstone cost approximately £4,500, and the remaining funds will help Nashir's wife with living expenses as she raises their two underage children alone. One of these children is due to start university this September, adding further financial strain on our family.

<div>No family should ever have to endure this nightmare. A complete stranger attacked our vulnerable, retired father, who posed no threat and used a walking aid. Attacked on the day of his 20th wedding anniversary... We had to wait for a month for the body to be released due from post mortem examinations to the murder investigation, which delayed the funeral and added to our anguish. Writing this and setting up this page was a constant reminder of our loss, but the overdue bills left us no choice but to ask for help. The perpetrator was arrested after hiding from the police for 10 days, and we are still awaiting the trial. Our father, a loving and caring husband, brother, and grandfather, is deeply missed by everyone in the Bangladeshi community. His life was stolen, and we are left to pick up the pieces.
