My name is Katherine. I'm the daughter of Egly Diaz.

I've created this GoFundMe praying that it will assist our family in coordinating pending arrangements for my mother's passing. Some of you may or may not know, she passed away on November 19th, 2024.

We have all been grieving differently. This has been a rough couple of months for my brothers, cousin, aunts, and grandmother. Please forgive us if we have ignored your calls, dismissed anyone, or isolated from reaching out or speaking on this topic. This was unexpected and still feels surreal to us. To those who knew my mom, if you have any pictures with her, it doesn't matter the year, please contact me and forward me any memories you might have for us to treasure.

Our mom was a beautiful soul. Despite any struggles, despite life's curveballs and roller coasters, she would make the worst and dullest moments bright with the innocence of a child. She was content with very little yet shared with all. She believed in fighting for what was right. She was an amazing friend, a loving mother, and an understanding daughter. A sister that never left your side regardless of life's downfalls. She was capable of making any room feel like a home. The world would take it all from her, and she found a way to keep creating it all with nothing. This has been a tragedy and heartache for a lot of us.

I'm giving my best efforts to organize a private event for those that were close family and friends. I would also like to establish a public balloon release and candle lighting for those who would like to pay their respects and share one last happy memory of her spirit. Egly left behind 3 children, my two younger brothers and I. These holidays have been beyond rough on all of us. If you know of any organizations or persons that can assist in donating toys for her grandkids this Christmas, we would be extremely grateful. This has been one of the hardest choices to make in posting and sharing because I'm reliving every single memory, but we need your help. I understand we are in the middle of the holidays and it is hard for all of us, but anything, whether it is $1, $5, ANY small amount helps us reach the goal of saying goodbye to her the way she deserves.

Les pido ayuda para poder coordinar los arreglos pendientes por el fallecimiento de mi madre. Mi mamá falleció el 19 de noviembre de 2024.

Estos han sido un par de meses difíciles para nuestra familia, para mis tías, mi abuela, mis hermanos y mis primas. Por favor, discúlpenos si hemos ignorado sus llamadas o si nos hemos aislado de comunicarnos. Esto fue un golpe para todos. Esto fue inesperado. Para aquellos que conocieron a mi mamá, si tienen alguna foto con ella, no importa el año, por favor envíenla. Cualquier recuerdo que pueda tener para atesorar.

Nuestra mamá era un alma hermosa. A pesar de cualquier lucha, a pesar de las curvas y las montañas rusas de la vida, ella hacía brillar los peores y más aburridos momentos. Estaba contenta con muy poco, pero lo compartía con todos. Era una amiga increíble, una madre amorosa y una hija comprensiva. Una hermana que nunca se apartó de tu lado a pesar de las caídas de la vida. Ella era capaz de hacer que cualquier habitación se sintiera como un hogar. Esto ha sido una tragedia y un dolor de corazón para nosotros.

Estoy haciendo mis mejores esfuerzos para organizar un evento privado para aquellos que eran familiares y amigos cercanos. También me gustaría establecer un lanzamiento público de globos y el encendido de velas para aquellos que quieran presentar sus respetos y compartir un último recuerdo feliz de su espíritu. Egly dejó a 3 niños, mis dos hermanos menores y yo. Estas Navidades han sido más difíciles de lo que pudimos imaginar para todos nosotros. Si conoce alguna organización o persona que pueda ayudar a donar juguetes para sus nietos esta Navidad, se lo agradeceríamos muchísimo. Esta ha sido una de las decisiones más difíciles de tomar al publicar y compartir porque estoy reviviendo cada recuerdo. Entiendo que estamos en medio de días feriados y es difícil para todos ustedes también. Pero cualquier donación ayudaría.
