Help Us Help Tom Foresteire

For those of you, who know Tom; know that he is a free spirted, take the world by its balls kind of guy. Though life has thrown its fair share at him, he has chosen to live life to its fullest, and make the best out of every moment.  Whether he is traveling the world, following his dreams, or just trying to better himself, No matter where he was or what he was doing on his adventures, if you needed him, he would be there.


On March 5th, 2018 Tom was in a serious car accident.  He was found, un- responsive at the scene and med-flighted to Halifax Medical Center in Daytona. Due to the multiple life threatening injuries he sustained in the accident, the doctors did not give his family and friends much hope for recovery. His lungs had collapsed, ribs were broken, and his left side was crushed due to being thrown from the vehicle , if he did stay stable, chances were high that he would never be able to breath on his own again.


In true Tom fashion, he has defied all odds; he IS breathing on his own, has had multiple surgeries to repair his left leg, collarbone and shoulder. The doctors say he is a true miracle.

 

After months in the hospital, Tom is finally home, but still has a very long road ahead of him. Still unable to walk without assistance and just recently learning he will need to have his shoulder replaced. He remains positive and his outlook is amazing.  He just wants to get passed this and live his life.
 
That all being said, as you can imagine this is going to take a toll financially, and is already starting too. Hospital bills add up fast, and he will not be able to work again for quite some time. This go fund me has been started to try to alleviate some of the added (financial) stress of Toms recovery.
