Help Us Help the Needy in Haiti – Ongoing Fundraising for Urgent Causes

Our new cause: this entire group of kids went to the 9th grade examen in Haiti, in Fond Cheval, which is a government exam. They passed. Now, none of them can afford to continue for this next school year. Any new donations made will go towards helping them. They would need about $500 per month for the school year, as the school itself has very minimal fees.

As we are about to finish with helping Mirana with her home, we are looking to help another family. As much we would like to help her more with the kids, there are so many in need, that we have to transition soon to someone else in just as much need with what we have. Next, we are going to help the children. Just like we helped Mirana with making her home more secure, which something more long term, we would like to help these kids and their parents as well. Instead of just giving them some food for a week, we are looking to see how we can help them/their parents so they can help themselves. As a more long term solution. Currently, we are raising funds to complete a vital project for Mirana and her five children. Thanks to the generosity of so many, we were able to raise $425 of our $600 goal to repair the roof of their home. We are incredibly grateful to all who contributed! 
 
However, after beginning the repairs, we discovered that the structure itself may not survive the hurricane season, as it could collapse on them without some kind of reinforcement with cement. Because of this, we urgently need to raise an additional $250-300 to ensure the safety and stability of their home. 
 
Helping a people through us is a guarantee that your donations go exactly where we say they will. We are not a big organization with overhead costs and unclear motives. We don’t pocket your contributions—we put them straight into action. What you give goes directly to the people, the homes, and the needs we show you. Period.
