Robert “Bob” Blevins, a lifelong resident of Briarcliff Manor passed unexpectedly on Friday, May 10, 2019.
Born and raised in Briarcliff, Bob was involved in many facets of local life.
He was a Life Member and Ex-Captain of the Briarcliff Manor Fire Department with over 40 years of dedicated service.
Additionally, Bob was a long time associate member of Ossining Fire Department’s Steamer Engine Company.
He has worked for various local employers most recently as a bus driver in Briarcliff for 18+ years touching the lives of many young students.
Furthermore, Bob was involved with The Jesse Collyer Youth Sports Program in Ossining serving in various capacities including as Coordinator of Babe Ruth Baseball.
He was also a long time fixture in the CYO Basketball program that is affiliated with St. Theresa’s Parish.
Bob had an infectious personality and he was happiest when he was surrounded by his friends and family. He could often be found cheering on his sons at their baseball and softball games. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Jeanne Blevins, and children Robert “Bobby” Blevins Jr.(Jennifer),Jason Blevins (Stephanie) and Tara Blevins.
Donations are being sought to help the Blevins’ family cover the costs of his surmounting medical bills and to lessen the financial burden on the family during this difficult time.
