<div>Hi my name is Meeka. I’m a 7 year old French bulldog, my mum has had me since I was 6 months old. I have had a few issues throughout my life but nothing serious until now. Last Wednesday the 22nd of October I was my fine normal self, snoring, farting, snuggling with my fur friends and my mum and sister and gutsing my food. On Thursday the 23rd of October I started feeling sick, I was vomiting, had diahorrea, a bit wobbly on my feet and most of all did not want any of my food and believe me I love my food. This really worried my family. My mum took me to the vet on Friday the 24th of October as I was still very sick, at that stage the vet said I probably had gastro and gave me some medicine to stop me vomiting and help with my number 2's. All weekend I still wasnt feeling better and seemed to get worse, I continued to not eat. My mum had to go to work on Monday 27th of October but she rang the vet and they could only get me into the late emergency appointments so my sister took me. The vets were worried about me so I had to have a sleepover. They gave me lots of medicine and I had to have needles to take blood and have injections to help me feel better. The vet rang my mum on Monday night and she said they were really worried about me because I still wouldnt eat and I was just so sad looking and weak. I had to have more tests, xrays, and ultrasound to check out my body, because the vet didnt know what was wrong with me. My liver and kidneys didnt look good, my white blood cell count was extremely high and alot of my other results were high and my protein levels were really low which really worried the vet, they also gave me some medicine to go through my bowels to help anything that shouldnt be there. They also said my lymph nodes in my shoulder swelled up and later more of my lymph nodes started showing swelling, so I had to have another sleepover. My sister called the vet first thing this morning, Wednesday the 29th of October, and now they were worried that I might have cancer. My mum took the day off work and came to visit me with my sisters, I was so happy to see them but the vet had given me a drug to help with my pain so I was really groggy and not my self. My family is so worried about me and I am worried about them because it is going to cost alot to look after me and they want to do everything possible for me to survive. The vet told my family that they still dont know whats wrong with me but are still really worried about me. They said it could be cancer or maybe I might even have a rare auto immune disease. Fast forward to now, I am currently having a big rest after going through surgery to have a biopsy done on my lump. During this time, the vets also gave me a feeding tube and sent off blood for a haematology test.

<div>The vet rang my mum tonight to tell her the surgery went well and the lump ended up being an abcess which they cleaned and put a drain in, but they still said it could be cancer and even septacemia, they just dont know yet. We are hoping to have my results next week they said, its going to be a long wait for us.

<div>I just want to ask for help for my family to be able to pay for the vet bill, which is now at $5000 and it’s not over yet .. Any amount would be gratefully appreciated by my family and would help. I will keep you updated on my progress and hopefully we find out what is wrong with me so i can continue to live a happy life with my family, and create awareness to hopefully help others. My mum lost her other best friend Bear on Boxing day last year, he was my friend too, and I don’t want her to lose me too.
