In Romania the medical system is chronically lacking the needed resources to invest in medical equipment. Donate for an essential medical equipment for hospital in Romania.

Direct laryngoscopy (intubating a patient without the use of any equipment) is like passing a thread through a needle looking through a 20-30 cm long dark tube. And you only have one chance. A wrong intubation can lead to the permanent damage of the patient’s vocal cords or even lead tragically to the possible loss of life if the intubation is not performed under a few minutes. 

In comparison, video laryngoscopy provides the doctor with a close-up view of the larynx to safely and easily insert the tube. It is a standard equipment in Western Europe for all hospitals with an intensive care unit. CFR hospital in Iasi, Romania, has an ICU and is one of the main hospitals in the city hosting COVID patients, but has no such equipment. Its doctors shared that one in 5 patients undergo a complex intubation procedure that would require a video laryngoscope. 


Who are we?

We are Help others help, an NGO aimed to give resources to those who can help on a local level so that they are able to help better, more, faster. We built this organization in order to give people a way to donate towards a cause and be sure that the money goes 100% to that cause.
