Fox is an amazing little dude who we are so grateful to have in our lives. Noticing delays early on in his speech and “social skills”, we have just recently received the diagnosis of ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
Like any parent would, we have been searching for what we felt would be the best course of treatment and therapy for Fox that would align with our beliefs and parenting style, which is when we came across the Son-Rise program by the Autism Treatment Centre of America. It focuses on breaking through Fox’s exclusive/ isolating behaviour and teaching social skills to help him grow into the amazing little man we know he can be.
We have already been applying principles learned from the book Autism Breakthrough (written by the Director of the Autism Treatment Centre and formerly diagnosed ASD), and are already seeing results. The next step is for his mom Candice to go the the ATC and attend a week-long training program where she can learn more about the skills and techniques to in turn help Fox. We are raising funds to help us pay for the cost associated with travel as well as the week long program itself.
We fully believe that this is the way for us to breakthrough to Fox, and help him thrive in the “neuro-typical” world. Any help you can provide would mean the world to us.
