HELP US HELP CURT

My name is Tina Arendale Ray. Today my sister Nina Arendale Hanson and I are starting this page for our brother Curt Arendale. He is fighting Cancer. What some of you might not know is that his battle started when he was 17 years old. He had a tumor on his Adrenal gland and had to have the gland and tumor both removed. It was a rare tumor but later in life it came back on his other adrenal gland. These glands are attached to our kidneys. They removed this tumor and also his adrenal gland on this kidney. Since you cannot live without these glands he has to take a pill everyday to replace what they do. He cannot miss a dose. Several years ago Curt got a different type of tumor that came up in his neck, sinus throat area. They went in trying to remove them. He started radiation and chemo. The radiation burned his neck, nasal and throat area leaving it impossible for him to eat. They had to insert a tube to give him the nutrition he needs every day. After much and continued therapy he can now swallow some soft food. But has to continue using the tube. Since the tumors first came back he has been cancer free for a bit. But they continue to return. Which keeps him on chemo all the time. They have moved into his lungs. Last Monday they wanted to start 2 new strong chemo's. But Curt's Humana Medicare refused payment on one of them. It sad how an insurance company or Medicare company can just decide what they will pay for and how much they will pay. Curt sends payments every month to all these doctors that he owes from what his Humana does not pay only for them to call with the payments are not large enough. Curt lives on a fixed income from his disability so he does the best that he can. He not only has to worry about the cancer but he has to worry over what they don't pay and of course money to live Day to day. We are reaching out to everyone today for your Prayers first and if there is anything you can give to help us help Curt. Curt would never ask anyone for help but without a doubt would be the first one there if you needed him. We know he is tired but he keeps going everyday. We want him to not have to worry about medical builds and all the stress that comes with having cancer. Stress lowers your immune system. We have a great faith in the power of prayer and healing. We don't know why God allows some to endure more than others. I do know that he is there each day with new Grace and new Mercy and Stength to get through our days. But you have to believe it to receive it. We are keeping a positive attitude and believing for God to heal Curt. We want to thank everyone for all your prayers and for anything you can give to help Curt. We not only want him to continue to fight for his life but we also want him to be able to enjoy his life. And we really want him to get to go fishing!
