We are reaching out to you today with heavy hearts to introduce you to Penelope, our incredible 4-year-old German Shepherd. Penelope is not just a pet; she is a vital part of our family and, more importantly, our son’s special needs companion. With her love and unwavering support, she has helped our son gain confidence and independence, and she is truly irreplaceable in our lives.

Unfortunately, over the weekend, Penelope suffered a devastating injury when she dislocated her toe. After seeing our trusted veterinarian, Dr. Gripp in Hico, TX, Penelope was referred to the expert team at I-20 Emergency Animal Hospital in Weatherford, TX.

It became clear that she needed specialized care, and she was ultimately sent to the renowned DVSC Orthopedic Surgeons in Fort Worth. They have recommended surgery and specialized post-surgery physical therapy to ensure a full recovery, which is estimated to cost around $13,800.

We are asking for your support during this challenging time. With your help, we believe Penelope can recover fully and continue her vital role in our son’s life, providing him with the stability and encouragement that only she can offer.
