Help Us Give My Dad Charles Morris the Goodbye He Deserves

Donation protected
This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. My dad has been fighting stage 4 pancreatic cancer since Thanksgiving of 2024. For the past year, he has faced every single day of this battle with courage, strength, and a quiet determination that only he could have. But now, we’ve reached the point no family is ever ready for. The doctors believe he may have about a week left with us — though every day feels more fragile than the last.

Watching him decline… watching his memory fade… watching the man who has always been my protector, my teacher, and my best friend slowly slip away has been heartbreaking in ways I can’t put into words. My dad has always been the kind of person who gives without asking for anything in return. A hard worker his entire life, he devoted himself to helping others, offering kindness, warmth, and love to everyone around him. He is truly the sweetest, gentlest soul — the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought.

Now, as he prepares to leave this world and enter heaven, I’m trying my best to make sure he receives the peaceful, dignified farewell he deserves. But the truth is… I can’t do it alone. The financial burden of burial and final arrangements is something I am simply unable to afford on my own. Asking for help is not easy, but I want to honor my dad’s life properly — to celebrate who he was, what he stood for, and the love he shared with so many. Your support would help give my dad a proper burial and a celebration of his life — something he earned every day through his kindness and the impact he made on others. Whether you can donate, share, or simply keep our family in your prayers during this incredibly painful time, I am deeply grateful. Thank you for helping me give my dad the beautiful farewell he deserves.
Today at 4:10pm, our world changed forever as we said goodbye to my dad, Charles Darrell Morris, a man whose kindness, humility, and gentle spirit touched everyone he encountered. He worked hard his entire life, never complained, and never asked for anything in return — he simply gave, helped, and loved with his whole heart. He treated every person the same, with respect and genuine care, whether he had known you for years or had just met you. Losing him feels like losing the steady light that guided our family. As we navigate this heartbreak and try to give him the peaceful farewell he deserves, any support means more than words can express. Thank you for helping us honor the incredible man he was
