<div>Today, the 25th of September, we had a hard rain storm. As we were sitting inside our home, we heard a surge and our power blinked. My husband checked the electrical box outside and didn’t see anything. Then it happened again, but this time a loud pop, followed by smoke. There was a smoldering fire inside of our siding where the wires go into the house. The wiring was very old and it caused this to happen, and we are now without power for the foreseeable future until we can afford to rewire everything.  My husband is waiting to start a new job, and I’m a tattoo artist who is dealing with little appointments in this slow time of year.  We have nothing… we have $300 to our name right now which goes to a bill that’s due immediately.  We don’t know what to do, or where to turn.  We are asking the community to give us a hand in coming up with the funds to get our home wired and our power turned back on.
