Help us get my dad’s tombstone

As some may know, my family lost my father to Stage 4 Glioblastoma (brain cancer) in 2020. Before this, he was diagnosed in 2013 and we constantly shuffled between Burlington, VT and home — keeping up with chemotherapy treatments, physical therapy, medical follow up appointments, medical equipment, and general travel and medical costs. This has taken a huge financial toll on my family as it is now only my mom and I. Prior to his death, my dad was forced to retire early due to his cancer diagnosis so we only had very limited income to rely on.

It is really difficult to admit something so personal and vulnerable, but we are still paying off medical bills and loans and to this day, we have been unable to afford my father’s tombstone. This GoFundMe is to honor my father’s memory in the way that he deserves. Right now, he is buried in the cemetery with no tombstone and only flowers to decorate his final resting place. Please help my family honor his wishes and afford the tombstone he wants. It would be a huge relief for my mother, who never wants to accept help but is always the first to offer support. Any and all donations and shares are greatly appreciated — all donations will go entirely to the tombstone my father had picked out before he passed.
