** Update **
Just three days ago February 4,2026 , Carlden underwent major hip surgery along with muscle lengthening surgery. He is now in a broomstick cast, and his recovery is expected to take 6–8 months. During this critical healing period, safe and accessible transportation is urgently needed for his follow-up appointments, therapy, and ongoing medical care.
Dear Friends and Family,
We are reaching out with hopeful hearts to ask for your support in helping us purchase a wheelchair-accessible van for our joyful and resilient 5-year-old son, Carlden — a need that has become especially urgent following his recent surgery.
Carlden was born prematurely and has been diagnosed with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy, a condition that affects his ability to move independently. Despite the many physical challenges he faces, Carlden’s spirit shines brightly. He is a happy, motivated, and curious little boy who loves the outdoors, smiles easily, and fills our home with laughter and love.
As his parents, we truly believe Carlden is a gift from God. We know He chose us to be his parents because He knew we would do everything in our power to give him the love, care, and support he needs. While we feel incredibly blessed to walk this journey with him, we’ve also learned that we can’t do it alone.
With Carlden now in a broomstick cast and fully dependent on his wheelchair, transportation has become one of our most immediate and pressing challenges. Lifting him into a car seat and loading his heavy wheelchair into our current vehicle is no longer safe — especially during this vulnerable recovery period. The physical strain has already caused back injuries, and continuing this way puts Carlden and us at risk.
Over the next several months, Carlden will require frequent medical appointments, therapy visits, and follow-up care as he heals. A wheelchair-accessible van would allow him to be transported safely, comfortably, and with dignity — and would give us peace of mind knowing we can get him the care he needs without risking injury or further complications.
This van would be truly life-changing for our family. It would support Carlden’s recovery, reduce daily physical strain, and make it possible for him to experience moments of normalcy and joy during a long and demanding healing process.
We are doing everything we can to make our home accessible and meet Carlden’s needs, but the financial burden is overwhelming. Asking for help is not easy, yet we’ve come to understand that sometimes love shows up through the compassion and generosity of others.
Every donation, no matter the amount, helps bring us closer to securing the safe and accessible transportation Carlden needs right now. Your support will directly impact his recovery, comfort, and quality of life during this critical time.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading our story, sharing it, and supporting our family in any way you can. We are deeply grateful.
