Help us get around as a family!

Hello! We are the Darling Family. We have recently decided to take on an emergency foster placement that will end up being long term. We already had 4 kiddos of our own, with the placement we now have 7 kiddos! This is wonderful news. We have a 13 year old, two 8 year olds, a seven year old, two six year olds and a four year old! Our family has grown and we are all happy about it. Unfortunately, the biggest obstacle we have to getting out of the house is our vehicle arrangements. Our 7 passenger van limit how many of us can move around town at any given time. If my husband isn’t traveling he can caravan with us to bring the rest of the kids, and himself! When is out of town, I have to leave my oldest kiddo behind in order to transport the others in my van. The freedom that having a 9+ passenger vehicle would give us is amazing! We would be able to go to dinner, the park, the movies, museums and the zoo all together! Not to mention shuffling kiddos from home to doctors appointments, errands, grocery stores, and play dates! We know so many people who have said they “could never foster” or “have no idea how” we do it, and the truth is, we understand! We believe that others are called to support foster families! This is one way to do that. The impact of this new(to us) vehicle, that can carry all of us at one time, is priceless. We believe in praying BIG for things that will bless others and make a positive impact in this world. We believe that some people are waiting for an invitation into something bigger than themselves. This is the beginning of something big for us and for each child in our home, or who enters our home in the future. Thanks for hearing our story and for taking the time to consider partnering with us in this way. It takes a village to raise one child, and we are trying to raise (at least) seven!
