<div>Since her diagnosis, our lives have completely changed. We monitor her blood sugar constantly-day and night- because her body can't regulate it on its own. The most terrifying part is what can happen when she and we sleep. Nighttime lows can be incredibly dangerous, and even with a continuous monitors and alarms, there's always the risk of something being missed. Technology also fails often.

<div>Thats why we're trying to raise funds for a <strong>Diabetic Alert Dog(DAD)</strong>- a specially trained service dog that can detect dangerous drops in blood sugar <strong>through scent</strong>, often before any device or alarm can. These amazing dogs are trained to wake caregivers, alert to changes, and provide an added layer of safety and peace of mind, especially during the most vulnerable hours-<strong>overnight</strong>.

<div>The cost for a fully trained diabetic alert dog can be between <strong>$20,000 and $30,000</strong> and unfortunately, this isn't covered by insurance. It includes training, certification, travel, and integration with our daughter's daily care.
