Another Step is a 501(c)3 organization providing a caring home since 2008 in a family neighborhood for 5 young ladies with developmental disabilities. Another Step has worked to create a home that is filled with kindness and love for the Ladies that we serve. However, we need some help from our friends.
We started this fundraiser to help us achieve the replacement of 50-year-old siding and the remainder of the original windows in the Ladies home. The house was not new when the Ladies moved in and the outside has continued to weather. The Ladies have lived happily in the house for 10 years.
The Agency receives some funds annually to help with home repairs. These funds must cover plumbing, electric, appliance replacement, painting, and any other expenses. There are never enough funds left to put toward a big project like siding or windows. Just this week the hot water heater went bad and the regulator that controls water flow as well.
Although we have been saving for a big project, time is working against us. We really need to get new siding and replacement windows for all the original windows. The donations we collect here will all go directly to replacing the siding and the original windows. The Ladies will have the benefit of triple glazed windows and tight siding with more insulation to keep the home warmer in winter and cooler in summer. This investment will help us to reduce the operating costs of the home as well. We want to get this work done as soon as we have the funds. Hopefully, before winter sets in. Every penny collected will go directly to this project. Your donation qualifies as a charitable donation for tax purposes as well. Every dollar will help us to achieve our goal. Please be as generous as you can and help our Agency to help the Ladies have a warm and happy home as well as one filled with love and kindness.
