<div>Nothing prepares you for losing your sister.

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Our family is living through an unimaginable loss, and on top of our grief, we are left with painful unanswered questions about what truly happened in her final days. While the hospital determined brain death, the circumstances surrounding her care have raised serious concerns for us—concerns that have never been clearly or consistently addressed.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>One of our biggest concerns is that her death is being attributed to a fall, simply because she mentioned a fall when she arrived at the hospital. While she did experience a fall, that was not the sole reason she went to the hospital. She sought medical care because she was experiencing multiple serious symptoms altogether, and the medical staff were aware of this. Reducing her condition to “just a fall” does not align with what our family witnessed, what she was experiencing, or the concerns that were communicated at the time.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Throughout her hospitalization, we experienced conflicting information, delays in answers, and explanations that changed depending on who we spoke with. We were left feeling confused, dismissed, and unsure if everything that should have been done was done. No family should have to live with lifelong doubt after losing someone they love.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We are not seeking blame.

</div>

<div>We are seeking truth.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>A private autopsy is the only way we can gain independent, unbiased answers answers that will allow our family to grieve fully, with clarity and peace instead of questions and regret. This autopsy is especially important because we do not want to spend the rest of our lives wondering if something was missed, delayed, or overlooked or if the full picture of her condition was never truly acknowledged.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>The private forensic pathologist who has reviewed the case has expressed strong interest and believes the findings could provide crucial insight. However, this must be done immediately.

</div>

<div>Our sister has been held at the hospital while we try to arrange this, and we are under an extremely tight time window. We have until tomorrow evening to secure the funds and move forward. Waiting any longer risks losing the opportunity for a proper, independent examination altogether.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Cost Breakdown

</div>

<div>	•	Private autopsy fee: $4,000

</div>

<div>	•	Transportation from the funeral home (round trip): $900

</div>

<div>	•	Total needed: approximately $5,000

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We never imagined having to ask for help like this especially under such urgent circumstances. But we are doing so out of love for our sister, for her children, and for our family’s ability to move forward without doubt haunting us.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>If you are able to donate, share, or even just keep us in your thoughts and prayers, it means more than words can say. Time truly matters here, and every contribution no matter the size brings us one step closer to answers and peace.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Thank you for standing with us during the hardest moment of our lives.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>With gratitude and love,

</div>

<div>Ashley &amp; Family
