Help us fight: Keep aftermarket OLED’s in the US

Donation protected
As many of you know, the majority of the suppliers in our industry were hit with an ITC 337 complaint from Samsung Display. In their complaint, they are targeting all aftermarket OLED screens that they claim violate their patents. This could affect all aftermarket OLED panels including those for the iPhone and future models. Samsung is asking the government to enforce a general exclusion order, which would apply to everyone, including individual stores buying directly from China. This would affect everyone, permanently blocking the import of aftermarket OLED screens and preventing their use from those who were hoping to fix their phones with a much less expensive alternative.

As suppliers, we have all spent the last month and countless hours seeing what the next steps are. The legal bills to fight this are astronomical and we need your help!

ITC cases are expensive to fight and lawyers have quoted us up to nearly $10,000,000 to fight this case over the next 12-18 months. We have a lofty goal to raise $1,000,000 to help our legal defense, but any dollar helps. Margins in this industry are very tight, and we feel like pawns in this fight who are being pushed between juggernauts in the wireless industry. https://thelec.net/news/articleView.html?idxno=3802

With over 15,000 wireless and repair stores in the United States, we know that our goal is within reach. If each shop can donate just $100 to our fight, we could raise in excess of $1,500,000.

All of us love this industry, with many of us having been here for over a decade. We do not want to see this industry die.

If you want more info on the complaint from Samsung Display, Louis Rossmann did a fairly in depth read through that can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A002AesVaFk&t=1s

Repair.org and PIRG both filed a Public Interest Statement that can be found here: https://shorturl.at/gRTUV

We have reached out to every vendor named in the complaint to jointly fight this with us. So far these nine vendors have joined this group fight.
DFW Cell Phone and Parts, eTech Parts Plus, FixEZ, Gadgetfix, Injured Gadgets, LCTech, Parts4Cells, Phone LCD Parts, and Wholesale Gadget Parts – All proceeds from this GoFundMe campaign will go to fund the legal fees of this group. If other vendors join us, the funds will be used to cover their legal expenses as well. In the event that this GoFundMe raises more funds than we need, all additional proceeds will be donated to Repair.org or a similar association.
