Hi! My name is Christian, I am from Austria and want to help my close friends from Ukraine who decided to stay in Kyiv despite the huge danger.
Sergey and Svitlana are brother and sister and were developing their family business, Foodex and iceFood in Ukraine.
I know Sergey and Svitlana Kotenko for many years. We regularly visited each other in Ukraine and Austria.
They are true heroes in the danger zone of Kyiv!
They organized their cookers and now, as volunteers, they are cooking 1.500 - 2.000 portions of hot meals every day to provide food for soldiers, policemen, fire workers, old people and women who have several children, and even food for homeless dogs.

Here is a letter from my brave friends Svitlana and Sergey who together with their team of cookers, parents and relatives keep cooking for soldiers and people who are in need of food.
Hi, I’m Svitlana and together with my brother Sergey in peaceful time we were successfully developing our family business:

On 24th of February at 5 o’clock terrible sound of explosion woke up me and all Ukrainians in all parts of Ukraine. I called to my brother and my parents. I couldn’t believe that in 21 century we could have war, I couldn’t believe that russian people could start killing Ukrainians and destroy cities and the whole world could not stop this horrible vulnerable war.
I, my brother with his girlfriend, my parents, our production manager with her family – we were forced to leave our flats and houses because of danger.
During all this war time we are forced to live in office part of our kitchen-production and when we hear alarm we run to hide in special storage.
During all this war time we sleep in storage where is very wet and cold but as we hope it is safe.
We decided not to leave Kiev and do our best to help soldiers to protect peaceful and free life in Ukraine.
We cook 1.500 – 2 .000 portions of hot meals every day for soldiers, policemen, fire workers, old people and women who have several children, and even food for homeless dogs.
At first, we used products from our Foodex and iceFood storage. I am thankful for our suppliers who give us free products or discounts now. I am very proud of our cookers’ team and my relatives, who for 1 month now, are working in the kitchen for free as volunteers.
I am thankful to our customers and our friends who donated money so we can buy products, packages, and fuel for logistics!
I did not get used to asking about donations. I got used to earning money working hard and making the life of our customers better and healthier.
But now I am forced to ask you - people from around the whole world to help us with money!
Donation will be used:
• To keep cooking and feeding soldiers, policemen, fire workers, old
people and women who have several children with hot meal
• To buy products and packages
• To pay minimum salary to our cookers who during 1 month are working as volunteers for free but we understand that in war time they need money to buy medicine, to buy food for their families, to buy food for their animals or buy things which are needed by their husbands and sons who now are fighting against russian invaders
• To buy fuel for logistics
I would like to say thank you to all people around the whole world who can donate and support our team of brave cookers who decided to stay in the danger zone of Kyiv and are cooking hot meals every day for soldiers, policemen, fire workers, old people and women who have several children.
I believe that together we could stop this violence and live in peaceful and happy world full of love and respect!
