Help Us Deliver Essential Supplies to Helene victims

My name is Sam, and I live in SE Virginia with my boyfriend -- We had planned a camping trip for my birthday this weekend, but after seeing the impact of the storm, we knew we had to do something different. Hurricane Helene has left devastation across Tennessee, North Carolina, and western Virginia, with many families struggling without access to basic necessities like running water, electricity, or internet and since we live only 5 hours away from the affected areas, we felt compelled to help, so instead of celebrating, we’ll be spending the weekend helping those in need.

Our plan is to bring urgently needed supplies—such as water, food, blankets, old clothes, and other essentials—to donation centers and directly to families affected by the hurricane. Tonight (friday 10/04) and tomorrow morning (Sat 10/05) we will be going to Sams Club to get cases of water, batteries, hygiene products and other essentials, and will be driving out Saturday morning.

With the help of our truck, we are committed to reaching these areas and providing support wherever possible. I have dozens of donation centers, churches etc. saved and am staying up to date about the communities and their needs.

Right now, we are just planning on bringing what we can personally but wanted to extend the efforts out to anyone else who feels called to help! Your donation will go directly to help us cover the costs of fuel, supplies, and transportation, allowing us to continue assisting as many people as we can during this crisis.

Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a huge difference in the lives of those impacted and any money left over will be used for extra supplies for the victims.
