<div>My name is Kimberlyn, and I’m raising funds to help my dad, Jorge, who is fighting a devastating disease called ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) a progressive neuromuscular condition that weakens the muscles, takes away mobility, and eventually affects breathing.

<div>This disease has completely changed our lives. My dad used to be an active, independent, hard-working man. Today, he cannot move, eat, or perform any daily activities on his own. His mind is still sharp, but his body no longer responds , something heartbreaking to witness every single day.

<div>My mom and I are his only caregivers, and while we do everything we can to take care of him with love and dignity, we also have to keep working to survive. Caring for someone with ALS is a full-time responsibility that requires medical equipment, medications, therapy, and constant physical assistance. He needs help with every part of his daily life — and it has become increasingly difficult to manage everything on our own.

<div>As immigrants with no extended family here, we face these challenges completely alone. We don’t receive any public financial aid, and every expense, from medical supplies to home care, comes directly from our pockets. The financial and emotional burden has become overwhelming, but we refuse to give up.

<div>We are reaching out for help to make my dad’s life more comfortable and ensure he receives the care he needs and deserves.
