Hi friends and family! Most of you know that on Monday, March 31, Mom fell and broke her hip. On March 5, 2024, she fell and broke her femur. She was one year and three weeks out from that fall. She spent 4 days in the ICU and was then moved to the Ortho Trauma floor. She's looking to be discharged Sunday, April 6th or the following Monday and come straight home instead of rehab.

As most of you know, I left my job last year to help with her first fall and haven't been back to work since (besides some pet sitting). Dad has been the only one working. Dad has taken this past week off while she has been in the hospital. We're hoping that he is able to take more time off, but we aren't sure what his job will allow. Which is why we're making this.

With Dad taking time off work, we're losing a lot of money coming in. But I need him at home to help with Mom. She will be non-weight bearing for the next 6-8 weeks, so it's going to be a long recovery.

We've never done a GoFundMe before, so I'm not sure how much to ask for or how it works. We're just asking for a little help to get us through these first few weeks. We are so appreciative of all the prayers that have been coming in, and they have made a difference! We will keep everyone updated on how Mom's progress is going, and we love you guys!
