On May 15, Linda entered hospice care as her battle with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) began evolving rapidly. ALS is a progressive disease that has gradually taken away Linda's independence and dramatically increased the level of care she requires each day. Our goal is to keep her comfortable, safe, and cared for at home, surrounded by the people who love her. 
 
As Linda's husband, I am her primary caregiver. Each day is focused on helping her with personal care, comfort, safety, medical needs, and the many challenges that come with ALS. Although hospice has been a tremendous source of support, many of the caregiving needs required to keep Linda at home are not fully covered. We rely on professional home health aide assistance, and those costs are expected to increase as Linda's care needs continue to grow. We are also facing significant expenses related to medical care, hospital visits, caregiving supplies, transportation, and other costs associated with Linda's illness. 
 
Asking for help is not easy. However, the financial demands of Linda's healthcare have reached a level that I can no longer manage alone while continuing to provide the care and attention she deserves. Every donation, no matter the amount, will help provide needed care and support for Linda during this difficult chapter of our lives.
