<div>Hello friends, human on the other side of the screen, it’s time you should know that me and Kokoy are moving into a bus… with your help !)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you could take the time to read, consider how you can help us on our journey, and then follow through in sharing your abundance or passing on the word, your kindness and contribution to community liberation will not go unappreciated.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Let me be real with the state of housing for the majority (I'm sure you can resonate): Housing is manufactured scarce. By the most conservative estimates there is far more than enough vacant housing to house every unhoused person. rent is so high to keep us in cycles of poverty and fear. The fear of being unhoused is meant to ensure we keep performing in the roles and systems that exploit our own bodies /minds /spirits and the body-lands of all oppressed people and the earth we live with. Housing, something that should be available to everyone on our earth, abundant enough to easily support us all, is kept dangling over our heads. They are trying to scare us away from our passions and a meaningful life. This is not a reality we are satisfied with.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We aren’t playing the game. These systems are killing everyone. And we love people and we love this earth.
</div>
<div>And we need living to feel worth it.
</div>
<div>So, that is the life we are creating.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We know these oppressive cycles can be liberated, stretched wide open, and we can live beyond the set rules or limitations that have attempted to bind our creativity, compassion, as well as communities.
</div>
<div>As soon as we have enough money to buy it, we are going to transform what is now a shuttle bus, into our moving home, and eventually, creative studio base!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is nearly our last ditch effort to beat homelessness and long term housing insecurity. This bus will be housing us for years to come. This is our way to expand beyond the generationally violent cycles of selling our bodies and time for far less than we are worth while creating wealth for the wealthy; and move instead, into realities we define for ourselves.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our gentle beings need reliable, hopeful housing. somewhere we are genuinely free to heal and exist.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Imagining the forests and fruits of liberated futures and planting the seeds that grow beyond is everyday work that is not by any means easy.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is our initial ask: $6,000 plus an additional $333 cushion for gofundme fees. This is just to get us started and will be combined with every cent we have saved to buy our bus and begin the process of stripping it down to the bones. Our hopeful, but achievable, goal is to raise this money in the next 3 weeks! ** 1.) we will be houseless starting march 1st. 2.) the bus we are looking at right now is the cheapest one we have found after lots of research over many months and is only going to be available for a limited time. **
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We strongly believe in the necessity of mutual aid and are putting trust in the community to take a bit of time, energy, and love to support us. You have the ability and thus a responsibility to uplift BIPOC / 2-spirit / queer / radical / youth / artists and ease our battle to keep and look after ourselves and each other.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Right now here’s where we’re at:
</div>
<div>Blueprinting
</div>
<div>Saving
</div>
<div>Planning
</div>
<div>Research
</div>
<div>Hunting for the perfect bus (we think we found one!)
</div>
<div>Building connections
</div>
<div>Sharing our journey
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>HERE'S SOME DIRECT WAYS YOU CAN HELP! and if you think of any other creative ways to support, reach out :)
</div>
<ul>
<li>ask your fam &amp; friends to donate
</li>
<li>share our flier
</li>
<li>help keep us fed :) ~ make us food, share snacks, buy us food, provide a place to cook etc.
</li>
<li>support one of our side hustles :p (tooth-gems, portraits/photography, car-detailing, pet sitting/dog walking)
</li>
<li>provide a place to do laundry
</li>
<li>provide a place to park our bus
</li>
<li>help us build
</li>
<li>donate or lend tools (we need a wide array of tools to build: from painters tape, paint, and drills to wood, a chainsaw, ax, etc.)
</li>
<li>connect us with people who know a lot about bus life
</li>
<li>connect us with people who have skills that could be useful to our build
</li>
<li>we will need lots of supplies and appliances and will release a more comprehensive list soon
</li>
</ul>
<div>(but if you have anything you think would be useful to our new home let us know!)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<ul>
<li>IMMEDIATE HOUSING
</li>
</ul>
<div>While we are saving up for the bus, we need a place to stay rent free or nearly free for the next month and a half. This is how we save up enough and break the cycle. If you or someone you know has an extra room we could stay in, preferably something detached from the rest of the house, please let me know! (i will add ways to contact me at the bottom)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I want lastly to emphasize the urgency for us to get our bus and begin building in hopes we can collectively move quickly. You really can help us reach our goal!
</div>
<div>Thank you sooo very much for reading through this.
