Help us bury Ian so my mother doesn't become homeless

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jess and I am fundraising on behalf of my mother for my dad's funeral costs. On the 21st June 2025 at 6:15am, my father lost his battle with pancreatic cancer and passed away. He survived 142 days after his diagnosis. He was 53 years old at the time of his death. Dying to cancer in his 50s was his worst fear as his own father and grandfather had died from cancer in their 50s.

We thought we had longer. On our own, we have managed to raise £3,000 but this is not enough. My mother now has to choose between her rent payments or funeral expenses. With my younger brother still living in the family home, this is not something she can choose between and she risks becoming homeless.

My father was a dedicated family man and former security guard at Anfield Stadium. It was his dream job as a lifelong Liverpool FC Fan. My father spent over 20 years raising 5 children and caring for my mother after a medical mistake, from a botched epidural, left her in chronic pain. When she got cancer, he dedicated himself to house chores, cooking and handling her appointments and medications. We thought we had survived the worst when her cancer went into remission. He leaves behind my mother, 5 children and 9 great grand-children.
