ABOUT THE PROJECT:

The Connection is a Transmedia Art-Project inspired by the life of Carlo Acutis, revealing the invisible threads that unite us.

Carlo inspires us not through dogma, but through his compassion for the homeless, the disabled, the animals, and all who were in need. While not a religious project, we honor his path of faith with respect, creating a living universe where art, technology, and spirit converge.

Through the immersive exhibition, the book, and the film, The Connection becomes a compass guiding us back toward meaning, presence, and connection.

On September 7, 2025, Carlo Acutis — the teenager known as the Cyber Apostle — was officially canonized as Saint Carlo Acutis by the Vatican, becoming the first millennial saint.

This isn’t just a work of art — it’s an invitation to remember who we are.

WHY THE CONNECTION?: Carlo Acutis inspires us not through dogma, but through the way he lived — with simplicity, generosity, and authenticity. From this conviction, The Connection was born: a living space where art, technology, and spirit converge, reminding us of what unites us beyond culture, language, or creed. Our team has already donated 20 months of work, as The Connection invites us to pause, listen, and feel the invisible threads that shape our lives.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Giovanni Zapata (Quito, 1978) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Buenos Aires whose work bridges art, technology, and immersive experience. With degrees in Fine Arts, Multimedia Arts, and Combined Artistic Languages, his work has been exhibited internationally — from the Cuenca Biennial and the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires to Art Basel Miami — and recognized by UNESCO and the Encyclopedia of Contemporary Ibero-American Artists in NYC.

WHAT WE'RE BUILDING NOW?: We are starting with a 20×20 ft immersive exhibition prototype (MVP) and a 100+ page coffee-table book — the first tangible step in bringing The Connection to life. The prototype will combine light, sound, and modular design to showcase the exhibition’s full power, while the book preserves the vision in print. This first phase paves the way for the complete exhibition and feature film, and will generate support for the charitable work that Carlo himself began.
