I regret having to repeatedly request funding for our rescue efforts and suggestions. As some of you may be aware, the county I reside in is severely underfunded, which is utterly unacceptable. There is no Trap-Neuter-Return program, no county shelter, and zero low-cost spay and neuter clinics. Vets are booked months in advance, and only one vet collaborates with rescues across three counties. We have dog control, but 75% of them fail to answer phone calls and neglect to respond to voicemails, lacking chip scanners. After five days, dogs can be euthanized following their stay with the DCO. Moreover, our county lacks pet food pantry resources.
I would like to raise funds to purchase a shed, enabling us to assist low-income families. Times are challenging, and pet food costs continue to rise.
