<div>(We're raising money partly so this project can move beyond founder-made and AI-assisted placeholders into the hands of real collaborators.)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What if a game world didn't exist just for you to consume?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What if the river remembered where you redirected it?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What if the forest you planted grew for generations?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What if a building you created became a ruin, a sacred place, or the foundation of a city long after you were gone?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And what if becoming powerful wasn't about climbing a predetermined skill tree, but about what you practiced, what you learned, who you helped, what you damaged, and what kind of person you repeatedly chose to become?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That is the idea behind Seed-Walkers, the founding game of Living Pattern Games.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I'm John Morey, founder and creative director of Living Pattern Games. Seed-Walkers began from years of thinking about game design, ecology, permaculture, architecture, community, spirituality, and the strange beauty that emerges when systems are allowed to affect one another.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now I want to turn those ideas into something people can actually play.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>What is Seed-Walkers? <a href="https://www.livingpatterngames.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Our Website</a></strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Seed-Walkers is a third-person regenerative worldbuilding RPG about participating in living systems.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You begin as a young creator-divinity called a SeedWalker, a consciousness taking physical form beside an ancient Root Stone on a damaged world.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You are powerful, but you are not omnipotent.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You learn by participating.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You observe water. Grow food. Build shelter. Cook. Craft. Explore. Fight when necessary. Form relationships. Learn from other people. Make mistakes. Heal. Change the land.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And the world remembers.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Instead of treating ecology, community, construction, magic, food, music, technology, and character progression as disconnected mechanics, Seed-Walkers is being designed around one underlying idea:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Relationships create consequences.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Water affects soil. Soil affects plants. Plants affect wildlife. Wildlife affects people. People build cultures. Cultures change landscapes. Your choices enter that web too.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The world continues even when you are not looking at it.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We're Not Trying to Build a Universe First
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Seed-Walkers has a very large long-term vision, but our first development goal is deliberately small.
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="null" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/108940491_1791833633593257_r.png" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>It's called The Last Watershed.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>One valley.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>One Root Stone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>One small surviving community.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A player should be able to enter that valley, read the landscape, gather materials, build structures from a modular triangular construction system, work with water and soil, interact with living ecology, build relationships with a small cast of people, face a major storm or other pressure, and make decisions that have genuine consequences.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Then time moves forward.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You return to the places you touched.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Trees have grown.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Water has moved.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Buildings have weathered.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>People remember.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Some of your ideas worked.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Some didn't.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That moment is the heart of the prototype:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Can we make one small world feel alive enough that you care about what happens to it after you leave?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If we can prove that, Seed-Walkers has roots strong enough to grow.
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="null" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/108940491_1791833669245085_r.png" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>What Your Support Will Help Us Build</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The first funding goal is $25,000.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is not a request to fund the entire finished game. It is seed funding for the next stage of development: moving Seed-Walkers from extensive design and early prototyping into a focused playable proof with skilled collaborators.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Funds would primarily support:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>contracting gameplay/technical development help for the core Unreal Engine prototype and modular construction system;
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>environment and technical-art work for The Last Watershed, including terrain, water, vegetation, materials, lighting, and readable ecological change;
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>early systems work connecting player actions to water, soil, ecology, NPC response, storms, and future consequences;
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>focused character, UI/UX, sound, concept-art, and presentation work where it becomes necessary to prove the experience;
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>development tools, assets, source control, software, legal/IP preparation, transaction costs, and other practical expenses needed to turn the project into a real collaborative production.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We will share development progress as the project grows so supporters can see what their contributions are helping us accomplish.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Why Build This?</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I love games.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But I also believe games can explore possibilities that other media cannot.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A movie can show us a regenerative city.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A book can describe a civilization that learns to live differently.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A game can ask:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What would you actually do if you had to participate in building one?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Seed-Walkers isn't meant to lecture players about the "correct" way to live. There is no green morality meter.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You can restore things.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You can misunderstand them.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You can build something beautiful that creates a problem somewhere else.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You can fight.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You can protect.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You can abandon a place for years and discover that people learned to live without you.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You can create traditions that survive you.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Eventually, the larger vision reaches other worlds, ecological crises, ancient histories, new civilizations, divine relationships, descendants, and New Game+ characters who may one day walk through the ruins, forests, cities, songs, tools, and myths created by your earlier lives.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But all of that begins with one valley.
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="null" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/108940491_1791833854616568_r.png" width="100%" />

<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="null" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/108940491_1791833817518637_r.png" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Where We Are Now</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Seed-Walkers is no longer just an idea scribbled in a notebook.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Living Pattern Games has an established game design document, technical architecture, world-generation framework, visual and studio identity, ecological research databases, prototype planning, UX direction, audio direction, lore, recruiting materials, and a growing body of concept work.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The next challenge is different.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>We need people.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>We need time.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And we need enough funding to put talented developers and artists beside the design and ask the question that matters most:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Is it fun to live inside this world?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>You Don't Have to Donate to Help</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you believe games can be stranger, deeper, kinder, more systemic, more ecological, or simply more alive, sharing this fundraiser can help enormously.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Send it to a developer.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Send it to an artist.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Send it to the person who disappears into worldbuilding games for 400 hours.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Send it to someone who has spent an afternoon redirecting water through a garden and wondered why more games don't understand how interesting that actually is.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>And if you are able to donate, thank you.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Whether it's $5, $25, $100, or something larger, you're helping give this little world its first breath.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Breath → Pattern → Matter → World → Lineage
