Help Us Raise Funds For Lawyer Fees

On July 13th  Ryan drove Lesli to a work training while Riley was waiting at home to go to a game night at a friend's house. Ryan was only gone about 15 minutes and when he returned he saw an unfamiliar car in front of his house and was approaching when he saw Riley's mom dragging Riley by the arm across the lawn and shoving him into the car. Riley had no shoes and no belongings. It was also Riley’s birthday weekend and his dad and stepmom had surprises for him. Riley's mother was screaming at Ryan and Riley. She was yelling down the street that she had custody and the cops were already called. Ryan was able to shout to Riley that he loved him and that he has a voice. The car disappeared and Ryan and Lesli can only assume that she grabbed him to drive him back to Tucson where she has been living with him until he came to live with them in October of last year. However, she has still refused to provide them with a home address for Riley.

Ryan has had very difficult time over the last eight years communicating with his son, because of his Riley's mothers  erradic behavior. As a baby, she abandoned  him without warning, dissapearing and leaving Riley in Ryan's care, only to show up, steal money, and take Riley away, leaving the state with him without Ryan's consent. Riley has some indicators of trauma. Although he loved being with his dad and was really starting to do well in school and socially and was getting physically active and healthier, he worried about his mom (like most kids do) and she frequently contacted him via his cell phone. When the texts became upsetting and coercive, Riley’s parents took possession of his phone so he could not have unsupervised contact. Riley did not have his phone when his mother took him. He also had no change of clothes, none of his belongings, Ryan and Lesli arent even sure if he had on shoes.  Riley needs a better environment than this- he needs stability, a home, and a family who love him and want to give him every opportunity to grow into a kind, smart, loving young man.
Ryan and Lesli are raising funds for ATTORNEYS FEES . They will need to retain a lawyer whom they like and can trust- and they think they found that person, but they require a  $ 3,000.00 retainer.
Ryan wants you to know that he would like to offer a portrait painted by him for your generous donations.
Thank you !
