I am Anita’s daughter and we wanted to update this fundraiser for my Mother and Joseph, since God did a miracle for getting Joseph home here to Yucca Valley when he is released (which will be any day now!). We just were told (did NOT know this before now) that the prison has a whole system of driving elderly inmates home who have medical issues and who live far from the facility where they are being released from. Because of this answer to our prayers, I wanted to change up the focus to be “Homecoming & Honeymoon” for Mom and Joseph. They’ll be getting married soon after he’s home, and they deserve some time away to be together after many years apart. (They just want to get an Airbnb on the beach to chill out for a few days so Joseph can see the ocean for the 1st time in 35+ years!)

Would you mind helping us give them a fresh start as they begin their marriage together? We don’t want anyone to feel uncomfortable about those who gave towards transportation, so if you’d like your donation returned now that we’re changing it to include their wedding / honeymoon plans, that is totally fine. Mom and Joseph have been together for many years now after being reunited back 10+ years ago, and my brother & I would love some help with giving them freedom to enjoy a trip after the wedding. We are all SOOO ready to have Joseph home, and this time of waiting on the Lord is hard on Mom, but she’s always hanging in there as she prepares for Joseph arriving, as well as becoming a wife for the first time.
