<div>Our world changed forever during what was supposed to be a joyful family vacation. We traveled from Oregon to Arizona, filled with excitement and adventure. But in a heartbeat, everything we knew was shattered. My husband, Joe suffered a massive stroke.

<div>In an instant, Joe was left paralyzed on his left side. The man who once carried our children on his shoulders, who tirelessly worked to provide for us, and who was always there to lift us up, now needs our help more than ever.

<div>Stranded Far From Home, Desperate to Bring Joe Back

<div>We are stranded in Arizona, far from our home in Oregon, clinging to the support of family as we try to piece together what happens next.

<div>We are couch-hopping, grateful for the kindness of relatives, but we desperately need to get Joe home where he belongs. Our home now needs to be adapted for his new reality—a ramp, specialized shelving, and so much more to ensure it’s a safe space for his recovery.

<div>A Plea for Help: We Can’t Do This Alone

<div>Our lifted pickup truck, which Joe loved driving on our family outings, is now a reminder of the mobility challenges we face. It’s not suitable for transporting Joe in his current condition, and we are faced with the heartbreaking decision of either flying him home or somehow getting our other vehicle to Arizona so we can drive him back.

<div>As Joe lies in a hospital bed, I’m juggling the mounting medical bills, the costs of daily living, and the overwhelming task of preparing our home for his return. The reality is that we are sinking, and I’m terrified of what will happen if we can’t find the help we need.
