Help former Army Ranger Ryan A. Thru hike the AT

Donation protected

From 2005-2015, Ryan served our country as a ranger qualified sniper on 3 deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan before being medically retired on June 26, 2015.

After being a devoted soldier for ten years, the past five have proven turbulent as he has attempted to start a new life as a civilian.

On June 26th, the 5th anniversary of his retirement, Ryan will set out, alone, from Mt. Katahdin and begin thru hiking the Appalachian trail south to Springer Mountain in order to “walk off the war.”  Along this journey he plans to journal, focusing on getting right with himself as a part of his healing process with PTSD and the traumas of combat.

Ryan is asking for donations in order to make this journey a little more feasible so that he can truly focus on himself for once in his life.  Any amount earned that is not needed to successfully complete the trail will be donated to Warrior Expeditions (www.warriorhike.org) so that other veterans may also be afforded the opportunity to reconnect after combat.
