Help Upgrade and Maintain Sophie

Sophie is a restored 1961 Volkswagen pickup truck.  She was purchased and extensively restored in 2003 by Tulane alumni (and Green Wave fanatics) Patrick and Marian Maguire,  who rolled through the streets of Uptown, Downtown, and the Quarter, bringing the Tulane Fight Song back to life through blaring speakers.  With Patrick and Marian at the wheel, Sophie accompanied the Tulane Marching Band at football games and Mardi Gras parades.  In 2014, she was converted to an all-electric motor.  Her 12 DieHard batteries have served the cause well, but it's time to modernize to Lithium Ion batteries, and take care of some maintenance.
